Slow Horses by Mick Herron
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The first in a series of books about British espionage, set during one day in present-day London. We follow River Cartwright and his fellow "Slow Horses," those in MI5 who make a career-altering mistake and were sent to Slough House. The action is fast-paced and the story is compelling, but at times difficult to follow the entire cast of characters. I am definitely looking forward to reading the second in this series.
