Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A delightful romantic novel revolving around an actress turned audiobook narrator. She typically doesn't narrate romance novels, but a long-time author requests her to narrate her final novel. Sewanee can't refuse. It's a dual narration with another very famous romance narrator (male). In spite of the fact that they each narrate their sections separately, they text/email/talk together during the process. Needless to say, they finally 'meet cute' and you can guess how it proceeds from there! A very cute, compelling romance novel with some serious overtones / sub-plots. The settings of L.A. and Italy add to the mystique of the novel, and her best friend, beloved grandmother, mother and step-father all add depth to the story. I'm sorry to say that I tried to get the audiobook, but couldn't so I had to read the print version instead. However, highly recommended!
