My rating: 4 of 5 stars
An absolutely charming book which includes everything I love -- books, reading, a bookshop, tea, food, classical music, several romances, the English Cotswold countryside, and much more!
Emilia Nightingale has inherited Nightingale Books, located in a small town outside Oxford, England, after her father passed away. We slowly learn the backstory of both Emilia and her father, Julius, and how the bookstore was started. Through little vignettes we meet many of the townspeople and discover how each of them have such a fondness for Julius and the bookshop.
It's an easy read, and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face along with a tear to your eye. I'd recommend making a cuppa tea, curling up in a favorite chair and enjoying this lovely book. Highly recommended, and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author!
